Our name pays tribute to our founder’s 120-year-old family department store and the master tailors who perfectly fit every garment— a legacy that inspires the firm’s approach to crafting events that are as thoughtfully tailored as a bespoke wedding gown. It’s also a personal nod to our founder’s middle name, a reflection of both heritage and heart.

Meet Dakin, founder and creative director of Taylored Well Events. A lifelong lover of art, design, and the joy of gathering, Dakin’s passion for events was nurtured in a family that cherished hosting. From arranging flowers to setting tables and polishing silver, she learned early on that a thoughtful guest experience lies in the details.
A Cum Laude graduate of the University of Mississippi with a degree in Integrated Marketing Communications and minors in Art History and Business, Dakin has since helped design and produce more than one hundred weddings and events across the Southeast.
Known for her refined eye and calm, creative approach, Dakin brings a sense of ease, artistry, and thoughtful curation to every celebration. Through Taylored Well Events, she transforms vision into experience—crafting moments that feel effortlessly beautiful and deeply personal.
When she isn’t designing her next event, Dakin enjoys decorating her home with found treasures old and new, cooking with her husband, traveling whenever and wherever she can, and teaching pilates four times a week at her local studio, Haven! She also has two cats whom she loves, and always spends her Sunday nights at family dinner.
